Overview
The IMAP Education and Training Initiative will support the development of clinically-oriented advocacy curricula within medical education and/or residency training programs. IMAP selects three sites annually for the Education and Training Initiative. Grants will be provided for up to three years to support faculty and project expenses, up to $25,000/year for 3 years, for a total of $75,000 per site. IMAP will also provide travel funds up to $1,000 per person for two faculty from each site to attend the national IMAP meeting. In 2008 and 2009, at least one applicant from each team was required to be a CMAP/Soros Fellow.
The Education and Training Initiative is currently being integrated into a broader program of education to professionalism. Grant applications for this new program will be available in the fall of 2010.
